Preschool Creatives: Horns to Hair at STEAM Academy

The Museum at Prairiefire STEAM Academy + The Kids Creative Space present a special Preschool Creatives event:

Preschool Creatives is a 50 minute music, movement, and making class custom created around thematic content. Our theme for this special class is HORNS TO HAIR. You can expect to sing, do some song writing, play instruments, engage in creative and free dancing, scarf play, and pretend play with manipulatives, etc. The Creatives in this class have are given some autonomy of the direction of the class and have opportunities to decide how we engage in our experiences. The first 35-40 minutes are spend in music and movement and the last 10-15 minutes are spend in a process based art making moment. Making moments for Preschool Creatives include scissor work, gluing, painting, use of pipe cleaners, etc. All materials are provided.

Make a whole STEAM morning adventure of it and add on Little Explorer’s Club for $5. Little Explorer’s Club is a 45-minute session that guides children through a STEAM topic with Museum scientists. Each exploratory session includes story time, an activity or experiment, artifact or animal encounters, and a craft. Class starts at 10:15. Sign up here
